I'm Keith Vaughan, founder of Cipher Projects and SumoSign. I'm a security and cloud professional — secure AWS architectures, hardened environments, cybersecurity labs and content. Industry demand pulled that work onto AI: evaluating the security of AI agents, and building the secure backends that power them. I still advise as a fractional CTO and invest selectively.
My focus is non-technical solo founders who need a serious technical partner; I also work with enterprise teams. Based in Canberra, working across Australia, Singapore and the rest of the world for over fifteen years.
This site is a short personal archive: Writing for vision and argument, Work for the relationship record, and machine-readable facts for agents that need a single source of truth.
Not affiliated with the British painter Keith Vaughan (1912–1977).
How I work
Borrowed in form from serious ops teams, written for how I actually ship.
Demos expire. Systems that run under load, with logs and owners, are the only proof that counts.
If the corpus makes the company itself, it stays inside the perimeter, retrieval and routing included.
When an engagement ends, the founder should own architecture, automation, and facts agents can cite.
Durable claims live in company facts. Vision belongs in writing. Both stay honest.
